Please call in during school hours to introduce yourself and collect an enrolment pack. For future planning we encourage you to have your child on our pre-enrol list as early as possible. Out of Zone: Sefton School is under an enrolment scheme that governs eligibility to enrol at Sefton School. The Board of Trustees is also able to accept a limited number of pupils who live outside the zone. The Board will determine if they have any out of zone placements, and at what levels for the following year. These will be advertised in the local newspaper with application details generally around September each year. If you are wanting your child to attend Sefton School please ensure you have an enrolment form and a letter of application to the principal before the deadline. Applications from out of zone students will be processed in the following order of priority: If we have more applicants than spaces available a ballot will be required.
UNIFORMSefton School uniform is available for purchase at the school office. Please see the office staff for a price list and a copy of the uniform policy. The below may be used as a guideline. 1. It is expected that all children attend school in the school uniform (set out below). If the child can not wear uniform on a particular day due to unforeseen circumstances, children will be expected to wear clothing in school colours accompanied by a letter of explanation from parent/guardian. 2. All children attending school trips/visits will be required to be in school uniform. 3. The Board of Trustees will determine the supplier of the Sefton School uniform. UNIFORM Girls- Culottes (school tartan) or Plain Black Trackpants / Leggings Boys- Plain Black Shorts / Trackpants / Trousers Short or Long Sleeve Polo Shirt – Jade (school monogram) Polarfleece – Jade (school monogram) White or Black Socks Footwear Black school shoes / sandals or tidy trainers (No jandals or slip on’s) Sunhats Navy Wide Brimmed Sunhat Compulsory to be worn outside during Term1 / Term4 Colour and Style may vary depending on availability but should be a Navy wide brimmed hat. Definitely No Caps Allowed! The Board of Trustees has asked that teachers enforce a NO HAT, PLAY IN THE SHADE ruling. Accessories No jewellery is to be worn at school except for watches and simple ear studs or sleepers. All jewellery should be removed for participation in sport for safety reasons. No make-up or nail polish is to be worn at school. No coloured accessories are to be worn at school as deemed inappropriate by staff. Polyprops are not part of the official school uniform but can be worn under the uniform during winter as long as they are Black or Navy. | STUDENT ABSENCEPlease notify the school office by 9am if your child is to be absent. Unexplained absences are investigated by staff to ensure the safety of all our students. The Skool Loop App is our preferred method for you to contact us for absentees. The Skool Loop app can be downloaded from either the App Store or Playstore. This app enables you to easily phone, text or email the school office from your smartphone. MEDICALShould your child need to have any medicines at school these must be delivered to the school office with a completed "Medicine Authority Form" which is available in our school policies or at the school office. If you don't have access to the internet you are most welcome to use a laptop at school to order your children's stationery or you can order by fax or go into your nearest OfficeMax shop and they will pack up your stationery order for you. School BusThe school bus route and details are available from the school office. If bus travel is not required home after school please let children know the arrangement and send a signed note to school, ring the school office 03 3129755, or sign off the bus book before 3pm. |
